Wow. It's been three weeks since I last updated my LJ. Ugh, schoolwork, the things you do to me.
Next.
That darn Media Interviews assignment. After much procrastination, I've finally joined and edited my soundbites on Saturday midnight (or would that make it technically Sunday midnight?) while my mind was half shut-down and fully annoyed at the assignment because I could only use Audacity to edit it when previously in our first trimester's Media Production module, we used Pro Tools, which was way superior and more precise than Audacity.
Ugh. Audacity sucks to the high heavens.
But the editing was all taken care of within hours (by 3 a.m.), and there was only a 200-word write-up left to do so Jay and I met up in school this morning to complete it.
This was what things should look like (ignoring that Facebook game on the iMac): me on MSWord trying to get things done-

So. Since this, I've been sick for almost two weeks with on-and-off-flu-and-blocked-nose and sore throat. Ugh. I hate that scratchy feeling at the back of my throat. At least I'm feeling just a bit better and the flu is almost gone. It was so bad last week when my whole body felt sore and I just want to lie in bed and never get up - and for the first time I stopped being the '100% attendance student' and deliberately missed class.

So. Another Saturday spent at work today. Ugh, hot. Was sweating almost the whole day. And I burnt the skin between my two knuckles on my right hand on the spiral slide because a kid got burnt on her elbow and I was trying to get her to like the slide without getting burnt, so I sat her on my lap and went down the slide together. Hence my tiny patch of burnt skin (wow, the number of times 'burnt' was used). Yay for Murphy's Law. And kids really have too much energy to spare. The three of us who were in charge of the play area today were knocked out within half an hour but the kids just kept on going. Duracell Bunnies, I kid you not. Even their parents were surrendering. Ugh. Super tired and sweaty and sticky by the end of the day. UGH.
But! The kids were amusing. And pretty cute, too, especially the chubby toddlers XD And there was a birthday party today so we all got leftovers free catering food (curry chicken, Chinese fried rice, sushi, eclair, pasta... Oh, yum). Saved money on dinner! Woots! Plus! We met the target The Boss set for the number of play pass packages sold, so we're each getting a pair of free movie tickets!

Busy busy week. The university is dead set on killing us this trimester. Wait—it's Sunday already? And it's already halfway through May! Time sure is speeding by this year. Then again, I've been eating its dust since 2007.

I WENT TO WATCH CATS (with W.Yiu) LAST NIGHT!
It was the first musical I've ever watched that isn't a movie nor a flim adaptation. Woots! And I finally wore a skirt after three years. Wow. Has it been that long?
It was after we entered the theatre that I realised I've overestimated Singaporean's standards when it came to the definition of 'semi-formal'. People were in jeans and tank-tops and slippers! Slippers. FRIGGIN SLIPPERS (W.Yiu said those were sandals, but technically, those are considered flip-flops, ie. slippers), when I went to get myself new heels (which I failed to break in a few days prior and it gave me blisters before we even began dinner) and a skirt! *Grumbles*

It had been extremely HOT these past few days and today, just when I succumbed to the heat, gave up on my fan that had been set on 'max' the whole morning, decided to switch on the air-con, IT REFUSED TO START.
Murphy's Law, stop using me as your perfect human example!
The fan turned on 'max' didn't help AT ALL. Thank goodness there was a thunderstorm in the afternoon. I can't survive a world undergoing global warming, living in Singapore, being only 1o above the equator, and with an air-con that can't even be switched on!
