業がとても大嫌い!

I really hate karma!

Was it karma? Or was it further proof that my life is governed by Murphy's Law?

THIS, wherein I ranted about one of my classmates who I hated ("... a poser who acts sarcastic, snarky and speaks with a fake accent [...] just so he can suck up to the so-called "leader" of their clique")?

Today, we were randomly picked for a project group for the Media, Law, Ethics module, and I just hated that I couldn't choose to form a group within our Clique. So I turned to [livejournal.com profile] thesuperette and told her very solemnly, "If I get [act-cool arse with super annoying fake accent], I will kill myself."

And the next thing I knew, I BLOODY GOT HIM FOR MY PAIR-WORK PARTNER.

Also? There's another girl we didn't like because she is over-the-top girly and her beyond-sweet voice and bimbotic-and-airheaded ways just incites my natural reflex to hold her neck with my hands. With all my strength.

Thanks to my ridiculously good (bad?) luck, she's in my group-work group along with the Poser (yes, they belong to the same Annoying Gang).

KILL ME NOW, PLEASE.

I swear, when our Clique left class, I could still hear Poser (and his Gang, inside) making fun of the pronunciation of my Mandarin name.

Oh, I'm so sorry that I don't have an English name more suited for the capabilities of your microscopic brain, and it's just too bad that you suck at your mother tongue so much that you can't pronounce a simple Mandarin name.

He'd better get my name right soon or I won't be able to keep to my promise of not murdering him (and the girl) before the end of next week.

Only redeeming point? There's another girl in the group that I'm okay with. BUT I FRIGGIN HAVE POSER FOR MY PAIR-WORK PARTNER! UGH!

After class, we had a short discussion for next Monday's presentation, and we ([livejournal.com profile] thesuperette, Y.Ting and William) went to Tampines 1 because I was meeting up with K.Ying to borrow her laptop, and [livejournal.com profile] thesuperette wanted to try the food that we didn't realise were available there when we went the first time.

We initially planned to eat just Frolick and the fruit tarts at Manpuku's Fruit Paradise (Blueberry Fruit Tart and Chocolate Banana Tart, which had cocoa powder that I choked on. Again. Blah. There are pictures from another blogger here), but we had an additional Honey Chocolate Toast and Macha Sundae (the latter because [livejournal.com profile] thesuperette is crazy for macha) from Manpuku's Kyoto Sabo.

William was dying because he hardly eats cold food, like ice-cream, and his reaction when eating Frolick and attempting the Macha Sundae later on was hilarious. And the Honey Chocolate Toast was pure YUM. Shame I didn't have my camera with me. Perhaps there'll be another chance to head to Tampines 1 again? The other stalls at Manpuku had really delicious-looking Japanese food, and I'm beginning to crave for them even though I've just had my dinner.

(And ugh. First week of school and I've already spent so much. On food. Justifiable, but I'll still need to cut back on spendings next week.)

We ended up chatting and analysing all the people in our own Clique and in the Annoying Gang, and sharing our first impressions of each other. So many hilarious revelations. Apparently, I'm "Sarcastic, Insulting, and Surprisingly-talkative". Um. Not the healthiest combination (for people on the receiving end).

And after they said it, I do get the feeling that I talk a lot. Yeah, well. I did make a conscious decision to be more outgoing, so, my objective has been met? XD

Honestly? I'm really thankful for my university friends. It's nice that we're all able to understand one another and still be close outside of school. I've had friends who I would be awkward with if we're not in a school environment where we're "forced" to stay friends with one another, so... it didn't feel like they were truly "friends" in every sense of the word? Anyway, the point is, I'm thankful for the friends I've made in university =)

All right, schoolwork is calling. Must work hard!

Hey "food-fan" :)
I can't help but notice food place in impartial role in your life (and still you happen to stay slim, which is a total injustice of life itsself *looks at own self, who has to be totally disciplined to not get fat*

Anyway, I couldn't help but laugh out loud about your "Frolick". There is a brand of dog food over here that spells exactly the same ;)

(no pun intended :D)

And LOL your description of your "hate-partners" on assignement... you really are struck by Murphy's Law, I give you that!

Go get'em girl! They'll never survive that week with you and your sharp tongue!

I love your sarcasm! And the fact that you can laugh about yourself! There's nothing I find more annoying then people who take themselves so seriously ;)

Have a great Thursday, hun! (Looking forward to your reports of how the "partner-project" with Poser worked out :D LOL

Haha... I noticed that while I typed out this entry that I seem to mention food a lot XD

Never getting fat isn't really a good thing sometimes because lots of people and nurses (when I go for health checkups) think that I'm suffering from malnutrition. Also? I'm always underweight =( Not sure what's my weight now. Haven't stepped on a scale in a very long time. Heh.

(LOL dog food? Hahaha~ XD)

Ugh. My Clique seemed to have come to an unspoken agreement to dislike half of the other Gang. But I won't be outwardly insulting to them in front of them so... I'll probably be ranting lots to my friends after every project meeting lol.

I hate it when people take themselves too seriously. And laughing at myself makes it easier to ignore and overcome the "not attractive" parts of myself. Makes life simpler to live, that's what I think =)

Take care and have a good day too!

Augh, when groups turn out like that, it's horrible. ): I'm sorry to hear that you've gotten stuck with them, but you can totally take control \:D/

Tampines 1 makes me miss the Philippines *____* The mall is so biiiiiiiiiiiig.

Food is completely justifiable. I swear I spent like 30 USD just on food one day. >>; but wow, those desserts. *__*

Ugh. The guy can be pretty assertive and I don't want to turn everything into an argument. Better to just get it all over and done with in relative peace, because I know if I challenge him, there will be no end to our squabbles.

Tampines 1 looks pretty big, but there're 2 other malls just 5 minutes walk away and instead of spreading the crowd, it attracts more people and I hate crowded places. So... I won't be going there often haha...

OMG 30USD ON FOOD IN ONE DAY?! But I can totally understand it. I'd do it too if the food looks good enough :D

ksjdhfksjh!! I was at Tampines 1 today. Met someone on my f-list to go eat Japanese food. :D

Ah, and forming a project group with a complete ass (or a number of them) can ruin an entire semester. :(

Did you go Manpuku? The decor was sooooo cool~
XD

Ugh, yes, at Poser ruining my trimester with his mere presence. I'm hoping there won't be any pair-work required after our pair-presentation.

I totally agree that this is good experience to build up tolerance for the workplace in the future. Although, I've never shouted at people I disliked, because it's just going to make school life awkward, especially in this case when we'll probably be in the same class until we graduate (UGH!). I'll rant to all my friends, though. LOL. Then we'll have an epic poking-fun-at-them session XD

OMG FAN OUTING TO TAMP1!
But I'm getting super busy now =(
And it's only just the first week of school!
