I'm supposed to be writing a news story by today for tomorrow's class but I can't seem to understand the instructions just recently uploaded onto Blackboard by my lecturer. My brain seemed to have gone offline along with my TwitterFox. Which explains why I'm here instead. Heh.

Anyway, it's September! The month of new and renewed television series! Woots!

I have so many shows coming up that I want to watch, but I still have a backlog of older seasons I haven't even watched yet (CSI season 9, Heroes season 3 and Chuck season 2). Ugh. I need 48 hours in one day!

I've never liked Amy Winehouse nor her songs, but I'm loving this version of "Rehab". I'm suspecting it's got something to do with the chorus-makeover (and those blue dresses! Shh... I did not say that).

Those videos kept me up until 3-4a.m. last night and made me miss my secondary school choir days and performing/singing in front of a large number of people, even though the latter used to intimidate me on so many levels (I hated the performance gown, wearing heels, wearing make-up, fearing that I'd screw up halfway...). Can't wait to watch this show! Although I'll probably babble on about it worse than I did today and freak my friends out more than I already have today :D

A word on Amy Winehouse. It drives me nuts how someone who has such an incredible talent can waste it in such a short time by adopting a most destructive and disgusting life style. Such a shame. Rehab was a fantastic album IMHO.

Aside from that, I am a total musical lover! There's just something about artists being ablet to "act", "sing" and "dance" that I'm totall at awe here!

When the album and all the advertising first came out I thought she would be, you know, one of the unique and famous singers (although I'm not into her music). Then all the news all out. And, yes, it totally overrode any good thoughts people had about her at the beginning. We'd want to focus on the music, because that's the important part, but everyone would definite have a certain standard, or the final line they wouldn't want the artiste they like to cross. There was this live performance that was on MTV and I caught a bit of it. She looked... pretty drunk and I couldn't figure out what she was singing... *changes channel*

Musicals are awesome, and I'm totally with you about the singing-dancing-acting bit the actors need to be good at. And I think everyone, in real life, should burst into song the way people in musicals do. Sure, it would be weird and freaky, but it would also be wonderful XD (also? If everyone does it, I won't have to feel like an idiot when I do it haha...)
