I went to Sim Lim Tower (Square? Tower? Whatever) today to see if they have the OEM version of softwares for my MacBook. SJ (the Programme Executive for my degree course) accompanied me (Y.Ting said he's so nice to us that he's almost our School!Daddy. LOL. Are you reading this, SJ? XD), plus he was looking around for laptops.
Was very disappointed because there were only OEM softwares for Windows and not Mac. Do you have any idea how bloody expensive it is to buy Adobe Creative Suite 4? It cost more than S$3000!!! Seriously! I know it's a high-end designer software, but not all designers are rich right from the start! At least make it a more affordable price so that more people will want buy it! Hello, fast profits! Understanding of purchase mentality FAIL, Adobe!
Oh, well. At least I managed to buy a palmguard (for the empty area on the laptop where one rests the wrists? S$38), a silicone keyboard skin (S$29), and a ridiculously cheap memory foam pouch (S$12), so now... DUN DUN DUN...
My MacBook is finally protected! Except, I wanted to get a leather casing so I won't expose the external shell to scratches but, holy hell, it would have cost me another S$59! Early Christmas present, anyone? :D
Anyway, having had all my equipment for fortifying my MacBook, I was 80% content. The 10%? I SAW A CELEBRITY: JJ LIN JUN JIE. And I was just standing next to him while riffling through the many MacBook hard casings in the official Apple retailer in Funan IT Mall.
Actually, he's quite short for a guy. I mean, I'm already 165cm (that's what, 5'4"?) and he was only just a bit taller than me o.0
And SJ didn't even realise who we were standing next to. =.=
Meh. I don't really listen to his songs anyway. I think I have just around five songs of his in my external hard drive (because I am lazy and am Queen of Procrastination and, I have yet to transfer my files over to my MacBook).
Anyway, thanks again to SJ (who liked to refer to himself in third person until I did the same while texting him and he thus realised how weird it sounded, so had finally resolved to not do it anymore. LOL) who accompanied me so I didn't have to walk around Sim Lim and all the way to Funan on my own (and most probably getting lost, too XD).
