Here it is, the whole bunch of photos I've uploaded but never got the change to blog about (all right, I admit, I was just procrastinating).

Seven hours left and I still haven't gotten round to do #5 of that list!

The problems with being a slasher/slash fan are that, in my mind, any two people can be slashed, my slash goggles are always on, and I SEE SLASH EVERYWHERE. Not that I complain though, because any small thing can be a reference and I get amused by everything.

That being said, RPS isn't something I'm comfortable with, because hello? Real people? Not fictional characters we can put into any situation, yeah?

THEN WaT (Wentz Eiji and Koike Teppei) CAME ALONG WITH THEIR EPIC BROMANCE. It's so epic us fangirls aren't even bothering trying to slash them. WE'RE SEARCHING FOR THEIR WEDDING PHOTOS.

You want evidence? HERE ARE A FEW VIDEOS:

ONE
Ei-chan guest starring in the movie Tecchan was in ('Lovely*Complex') and getting interviewed together. (Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] lovryu for showing me this XD)

TWO
Them on Music Fighter a couple of years ago and practically professing their love on national television.

THREE
Photoshoot for their first single. THE GEM STARTS AT 02:50. GEM, I TELL YOU.

FOUR
WaT's Christmas message (from 2007?). KILLED ME WITH TEH CUTE.

FIVE
A collection of WaT moments. GUH. Especially that clip where Ei-chan visits Tecchan in the middle of the night. Kinda reminiscent of Bradley and Colin's nightly pranks HAHAHA.

SIX
The making of their music video, 'ボクラノLove Story'. Okay, there's nothing slashy about it, but I have a thing for guys playing the piano or the guitar. So sue me.

Just when I thought they couldn't get any more epic, I was on Facebook one day in August and I saw this:

THEIR EPIC BROMANCE HAS BEEN APPROVED BY FACEBOOK QUIZZES THAT USE THEIR PHOTO AS THE RESULT FOR 'LOVE'. Or at least, the person who made the quiz. Who might also be a WaT fangirl. THIS I APPROVE.

(Also, I faked my answers just so I could take a screenshot of that result XD)

And we all know how quizzes are, you get curious enough to want to waste the time to do one even if you know it's all rubbish. This was the result I got:

Right. I can be too much of a perfectionist sometimes (there is no such thing as "too much" when you're a perfectionist). So sue me.

Speaking of EPIC BROMANCE, Merlin's Bradley and Colin are letting their guards down on national telly themselves XD And of course, the fangirls went crazy over it. AND COMMENTFIC HAPPENED.

I love my fandoms.

Because I'm a geek, and Leonardo da Vinci was our sort-of mascot/person we look up to back in secondary school, and also because his research and art sketches are AMAZING, I went to the exhibition at the Science Centre with [livejournal.com profile] thesuperette and Jay.

Obligatory photograph of the entrance to The Annexe.

I haven't had the time to bake stuff recently, but I did months ago and here are some photos of them (and my clumsiness).

I burnt the side of my thumb on the baking tray when I was reaching underneath its edge for a fork. SUPER OUCH. Why? Because I had just taken the tray out of the oven less than five minutes before. I'm so FAIL sometimes. It was so hot that it blistered instantly )':
(Recipe here.)

A week later, I decided to bake a banana cake.
I don't know what they grew the bananas with but they were HUGE. Longer than the length of my hand, even.

TADA!
The top cracked, as usual. I could never figure out how to prevent that from happening after we had a new oven.

I added a layer of banana slices for a change. It was nice and gooey post-baking. YUM.
(Recipe here.)

Janice, Jill, Julia, Phoenix, Y.Shan, Y.Hao, Z.Yang and I met up for dinner at Tampines1's Manpuku, to take the chance of the short period when Janice is back in Singapore while her university in Australia was taking a break for winter.

Fake sakura trees. But still pretty enough XD

Random photo~
It's given to every patron so everyone could leave the table to buy their food without worrying about their seats getting taken by other people.

My ramen~
Yes, I have a thing for noodles.

Fruit tart! Or, strawberry and chocolate tart. I forgot what they named it.
And I choked on the cocoa powder. Yet again.

Janice is now back in Singapore for good because she has already graduated (OMG HOW FAST WAS THAT?), so, YAY! Increased chances for meeting up! It's been so long since we last had a chat. Or girl-talk. Or whatever.

I've always wanted to try cooking something Japanese. And the easiest (after instant noodles) is sushi, or onigiri, which, as it turned out, wasn't that easy after all. I didn't have the right equipment (wooden basin, Japanese rice, etc.) to make the perfect sushi rice, but I think I did pretty good. At least good enough to make lots (and frequently) to bring to work for lunch instead of spending lots of money on unhealthy fast food.

Mmm... Poached eggs. Or, just 'egg'. Not bad for first attempt.
Also, half-cooked yolk with rice is YUM.

I've tried to bake cookies. Chocolate ones, because I'm only madly obsessed with chocolate.

Butter and sugar.

With cocoa powder added in~

Apparently, I'm pretty rubbish at estimating when I can take the cookies out of the oven, because it's more sensitive to heat than cakes are. I burnt my first batch. And some of my subsequent batches. Ho hum.

Girl scout cookies, sans mint.

My fail aside, the ones that made it still tasted pretty good. But I think I'll be sticking to baking cakes and muffins for the time being.

(Recipe here. You'll have to double, triple or even quadruple the amount for the chocolate coating though. It gets used up pretty fast.)

Phew! And that's #4 taken care of! Looking back, most of my 2009 has been about food (or most of my life...?). I'm such a pig. But well. Now that I have a part-time job that earns me at least double of the allowance I used to get from my mother pre-job, I can bear to part with a little more of my money on better (but still student-affordable) food. For me, enjoying food comes along with enjoying the company of friends I'm having that meal with, and that experience of trying something new together. So... I guess it worked out well for a food-filled 2009...? Heh :D
