I don't get the whole "Choir is for losers" either. I was part of a choir for two years and I loved it. And I can imagine that you loved it to, especially because it did so much for you. Also, you were so good, that's something to be proud off. Singing in a choir, standing up in front of loads of people and singing, it's not easy (it wasn't for me) and people just don't always get that.
