VIDEO MONDAY 9
[Direct link to the HQ version]
I was watching another video of Hannya (Japanese comedy duo) with Teppei on teppeifc (OMG Teppei, why are you always doing crazy-and-unflattering things that totally go against your ikemen image, but still managing to look so darn adorable and making me squeal and love you so much more? Oh, the things you do to my fangirl-mind...) when I stumbled across this other Hannya video. Oh, the LULZ.
■
Met up with my friends from polytechnic (Y.Mei, Fabian and W.Yiu) for super belated birthday meal for Y.Mei's in April and mine in March. And~ we went to Swensen's, Tampines' branch. Yay for food and ice-cream!
My salmon and mushroom pasta.
The salmon bits were pretty salty.
Probably because I ate it on its own rather than with the pasta. LOL XD
But the cream was *happy sigh* good.
Y.Mei's crayfish pasta.
W.Yiu's pizza.
And Fabian's burger.
Y.Mei and I LOL-ed at his quartered burger.
As if there's a need to be so neat and reserved in front of us XD
And suddenly Y.Mei pulled out the present she and Fabian got for me. Whoa!
Ack! She's so... AWW...
And her shocked reaction after hearing that I've not used a comb in a very long time... LOL!
(Yes, I've blocked out our names on the card. I have Internet-paranoia, what of it?)
The boys' ice-cream.
(The Thin Mint was nice! Although I'll have to admit that Ben & Jerry's mint is still the best I've had so far.)
Us girls' Sticky Chewy Chocolate. Um. Was YUM.
AND THE FUDGE. OH, THE FUDGE.
'People who can knot cherry stems with their tongue are good kissers', right?
I FAILED.
After contorting my face into strange expressions while wrestling with the stem and providing Y.Mei and Fabian with much amusement, all I've got was a chewed up, soggy and definitely-not-knotted cherry stem. Such an insult to my confidence at snoggage, being bested by a mere cherry stem.
Y.Mei found this chocolate chip/drop stuck to the bottom of our ice-cream bowl.
She was super amused by it.
Oh, Y.Mei, never change.
Eww but weirdly-pretty melted leftovers from the guys' ice-cream.
(Strangely, it reminded me of the view from the top of a volcano.
Was channeling my past-geography-student mind.)
SECOND TRY = SUCCESS!
Because I know I'm a good kisser and I will damn well prove it no matter how long it took.
It didn't take too long, actually. Woots!
(Pardon the unsightly dried-and-peeling skin on my fingertips.
It kept drying up recently and had been driving me nuts.)
And from here on is me unpacking my presents!
The comb that I shall learn to use so I can put my using-fingers-to-comb-my-hair days behind me. Apparently, wooden combs are... healthy? Good for the scalp?
I'm fascinated with the engraving. Or I just like wood products. Heh.
What a coincidence. I was just thinking the other day that I should buy a new lip balm/gloss soon because my old tube was running out.
It's way bigger than my old one. And shinier, too, even though both are hi-shine.
Pretty, pretty box~
And it's... *drumroll*
Chocolate Research Facility's Macademia Dark!
Isn't it cute? The size of the chocolate pieces were all marked from 'small' to 'x-large'.
I couldn't bear to eat it. It was just too pretty!
I actually wanted to savour it while I typed out this entry, but by the time I started typing, I've already finished the whole bar. AND IT WAS AWESOME. I've always preferred my chocolate to be without nuts or raisins, but this? The nuts were small enough and crispy enough that they didn't get stuck between my teeth. And they felt like wafer bits instead. Mmm~ YUM.
(I didn't bother eating according to the marked sizes. Was biting it off by the mouthful.
Yay for decadence XD)
My small card with a long message from Y.Mei and a shorter one from Fabian, who didn't forget to tease me about a certain situation in my life.
Yes, I'm rolling my eyes at you, mister. But don't worry, you're still my friend :)
This is becoming a pattern, Y.Mei getting me Esprit stuff.
But YAY for new tee-shirt soon!
These are the paper flakes that are also in my box. Just gotta love that girl for all the effort and thought she put into this. (And all we got her were S$60 worth of book vouchers. Oops. Hope she'll have fun clearing up her booklist, though =])
I had to stop typing for a bit to figure out how to best put into words how thankful I am for my polytechnic friends because all through my three years there I had always felt it difficult to form close friendships, compared to how easy it used to be back in secondary school. But then there are these few who defy my angsty thoughts about my tertiary education's social life.
Just. I have no words. Because they're awesome, and I'm loving them so hard.
=)
